Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:2000

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from Abu Qaza’ah, from Abu Yazid al-Madini, who said: Jabir ibn Abdullah was asked about the gifts of the commanders (amirs). He said: "In my soul, they are ghulul (illicit gain/treachery)."
