Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:2004

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Isma’il bin Abi Khalid narrated to us, from Qays, from ‘Adi bin ‘Amirah al-Kindi, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying: "Whoever among you we appoint to a task, and he conceals from us a needle or anything above it, it is a misappropriation (ghulul) which he will bring on the Day of Resurrection." A man from the Ansar stood up to him—as if I am looking at him—and said: "O Messenger of Allah, accept your task back from me." He (the Prophet) said: "And why is that?" He said: "I heard you say such and such." He (the Prophet) said: "Then I say now: Whoever among you we appoint to a task, let him bring us its little and its much. Whatever he is given from it, he may take, and whatever he is forbidden from it, he must refrain."
