Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Sharik, from Abdullah bin Ja’far bin ‘Atik, from ‘Ata’ bin Yasar, from Abu Malik al-Ash’ari, who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "The greatest of betrayal (ghulul) to Allah on the Day of Resurrection is a cubit of land that a man steals—or two men, or two neighbors between whom there is land, and one of them steals from his companion—so he will be encircled with it from seven earths."
