Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:2125

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abd al-Salam narrated to us, from Yunus, from Ziyad ibn Jubayr, from Sa’d, who said: When the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, took the pledge of allegiance from the women, a dignified woman came to him, as if she were from the women of Mudar. She said: "O Messenger of Allah, we are a burden upon our fathers, our husbands, and our sons. So what is permissible for us from their wealth?" He said: "The fresh food (al-rutab) which you eat and give as a gift."
