Hushaym narrated to us, from Ubaydah, from Ibrahim, who said: "You impose conditions upon the *mukātab* (a slave in a contract of manumission) that are not permissible; you stipulate that he shall not go out and shall not marry." He said: "He may go out and he may marry."
