Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:2160

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abd al-Wahhab narrated to us, from Khalid, from Muhammad, that he disliked that one gives a dirham to the grocer and takes the merchandise from him [immediately]. Rather, he should take from him, and when it reaches a dirham, he gives it to him.
