Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:2212

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn ‘Uyaynah narrated to us, from ‘Amr, he said: I heard ‘Ubayd ibn ‘Umayr say: There was a man who used to lend to people or trade with them, and he had a scribe and a partner. He would say to the one in difficulty and the one seeking a delay: "Grant respite, wait, and overlook [the debt], so that it may be overlooked for us on a day when it will be overlooked for us." So he met Allah, and he had not done any good other than that, so He forgave him.
