Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:2216

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Husayn ibn Ali narrated to us, from Za’idah, from ‘Abd al-Malik ibn ‘Umayr, from Rib’i, who said: ‘Uqbah ibn ‘Amr said to Hudhayfah: "Narrate to me something you heard from the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace)." He said: "I heard him saying: 'There was a man among those who were before you. The angel came to him to take his soul, so he said: "Did you do any good?" He said: "I do not know." He said: "Look." He said: "I do not know of anything, except that I was a man who used to trade with people and interact with them. So I would grant respite to the one in difficulty and overlook [the debts of] the one who was well-off." So Allah admitted him into Paradise.'" ‘Uqbah said: "And I also heard him saying that."
