Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:2270

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Hafs narrated to us, from Ubayd Allah, from Nafi’, from Ibn Umar, that he used to dislike that one should make a contract of manumission (kitabah) with his slave for gold or silver. And he said: "No, except for trade goods."
