Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:2333

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Hushaym narrated to us, from Ayyub Abu al-Ala, from Qatadah, regarding the *mudarib* (the manager of a profit-sharing partnership): He was given wealth for *mudarabah* for half [of the profit], so he gave it to someone else for half. He said to the other person: "You have half, and the owner of the wealth has half." And Abu Hashim said: "The other person has half, and what remains is between the owner of the wealth and the intermediary."
