Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Abi Za’idah narrated to us, from Sa’id, from Abu Ma’shar, from Ibrahim, who said: Ibn Mas’ud used to see no harm in the *salam* (forward sale) for everything, up to a known term, except for animals.
