Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:2429

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Hisham al-Dastawa’i, from ‘Ubayd Allah ibn Humayd al-Himyari, from al-Sha’bi, he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever leaves an animal in a place of destruction, it belongs to the one who revives it."
