Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ya'la ibn 'Ubayd narrated to us, from Hajjaj ibn Dinar, he said: I asked Abu Ja'far about white land in which there are no trees and no crops, [whether] one may rent it for dirhams and dinars. He said: "It is good; we do likewise in Medina."
