Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:2509

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Hafs narrated to us, from Ash'ath, from Ibn Sirin, from Shurayh, that he used to say: "If they differ regarding the currency, you are entitled to the good, the fair, and the excellent. If the highest [quality] is gone, then leave the lowest."
