Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from Abu al-Jarrah, he said: Musa ibn Salim narrated to me, he said: When al-Hajjaj expelled the people of the land, a woman came to me with a document. She claimed that the one who emancipated her was her father. This is what Talhah ibn Ubayd Allah bought from so-and-so, son of so-and-so. He bought from him his courtyard for a dinar or a dirham, for five hundred dirhams, in good, pure, and excellent [currency].
