Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:252

Abu Bakr ibn Ayyash narrated to us, from Mughirah, from Ibrahim, that he disliked the selling of the Mushafs (copies of the Quran). And he said: "They are for those who read from the people of the house." And he disliked writing in them for a fee.
