Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:2564

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Hatim ibn Isma'il narrated to us, from Ja'far, from his father, he said: Ali said: "Whoever sells a slave and he has wealth, then the wealth is for the seller. And whoever sells date palms that have been pollinated—meaning fertilized—then their fruit is for the seller, unless the buyer stipulates [otherwise]." The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, decreed this.
