Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:2748

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Isra’il, from Jabir, from ‘Amir, from Masruq, who said: "You are from the gift of Allah to your father; you and your wealth belong to your father." Then he said: "He bestows upon whom He wills female [children], and He bestows upon whom He wills males."
