Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Ibn Abi Layla, from his brother Isa, from his father Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Layla, that a Christian from the people of al-Hira wrote a Mushaf (copy of the Quran) for him for ninety dirhams.
