Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abd al-Wahhab al-Thaqafi narrated to us, from Khalid, from Iyas ibn Mu'awiyah, that he used to judge by [the right of] neighborhood (pre-emption), until the letter of Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz came to him [instructing him] not to judge by it, except for what was between two mixed partners, or a house upon which one door closes.
