Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu al-Ahwas narrated to us, from Abd al-Aziz ibn Rufay’, from Ibn Abi Mulaykah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) decreed pre-emption (shuf’ah) in everything: land, houses, slave girls, and servants. Ata’ said: "Pre-emption is only in land and houses." Ibn Abi Mulaykah said to him: "Do you hear me, may you have no mother? I am saying the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said [it], and then you say something like this?"
