Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Isma'il ibn 'Ayyash narrated to us, from Sharhabil ibn Muslim, he said: I heard Abu Umamah saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saying in his sermon during the year of the Farewell Pilgrimage: "The debt is to be paid, and the guarantor is liable," meaning the surety.
