Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:2962

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from Yunus, from al-Sara’ ibn ‘Aqiq, who said: I said to Ibn ‘Umar, "What do you say about *al-saraq*?" He said, "And what is *al-saraq*?" I said, "Silk or pieces of silk." He said, "O people of Iraq, you use strange names. Why do you not say 'pieces of silk'?" We said, "It has a price in the market; we buy it at a price and sell it before receiving it for more than that." He said, "If you buy it and take possession of it, then sell it however you wish."
