Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Sa’id ibn ‘Abd al-‘Aziz al-Tanukhi narrated to us, from Isma’il ibn ‘Ubayd Allah ibn al-Muhajir, from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Ghanam al-Ash’ari, he said: ‘Umar said: "Woe to the judge of the people of the earth from the Judge of the people of the heaven on the day they meet Him, except for one who intended justice, judged with the truth, and did not judge out of passion, nor kinship, nor desire, nor fear, and who placed the Book of Allah as a mirror between his eyes."
