Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, from Mis’ar, from Abu Hasin, from Abu Abd al-Rahman, who said: When David was commanded to judge, he was distressed by it. So Allah revealed to him: "Ask them for the evidence, and take an oath from them."
