Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:3041

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Yahya bin Sa’id al-Qattan narrated to us, from Muhammad bin ‘Ajlan, from Abu al-Zinad, that ‘Abd al-Hamid used to judge by the oath along with the witness in Kufa. He said: So some people of the people of Kufa disapproved of that for him, and he wrote to ‘Umar bin ‘Abd al-‘Aziz. So he wrote to him that he should judge by the oath along with the witness. Then an elder from among their elders—or he said: from among their notables—said: I witnessed Shurayh judging by the oath along with the witness.
