Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:3111

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Yahya ibn Adam narrated to us, he said: Sufyan narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Layla, from al-Hakam, from Ibrahim, regarding the sick person. He said: If the heir releases [the debtor] from the debt, he is released.
