Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:315

Asbat ibn Muhammad narrated to us, from Mutarrif, from Amir, from Shurayh, who said: "Conditions of release (al-khalas) are not stipulated, except by a fool. [Either] deliver it as you sold it, or return it as you took it."
