Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:3158

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Mu'adh ibn Mu'adh narrated to us, from 'Umar ibn Abi Za'idah, he said: We came with a letter from the judge of Kufa to Iyas ibn Mu'awiyah. I arrived, and Iyas had been dismissed and al-Hasan had been appointed as judge. I handed my letter to him, and he accepted it and did not ask me about it. He opened it, then spread it out, and found in it for me the testimony of two witnesses against a man from the people of Basra for five hundred. He said to a man standing at his head: "Go with this to Ibn Ziyad and say to him: 'Send for so-and-so, son of so-and-so, and take five hundred dirhams from him, then pay them to this man.'" He said: So he went with me and did so.
