Isma'il ibn 'Ulayyah narrated to us, from Salamah ibn 'Alqamah, from Ibn Sirin, who said: The judges used to judge regarding whoever sold something that was not his, that it belongs to its owner if he seeks it. And this is taken by [the principle of] *al-shurwa* (the purchase/transaction).
