Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:3209

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from Hajjaj ibn Artah, from Abu Ja'far al-Bajali, who said: A man entered a bathhouse and gave [the attendant] a fee for entering the bathhouse. He said: And he gave him his clothes to hold for him. He said: Then the clothes were lost, so he disputed with him before Shurayh. He said: Shurayh said, "Did you give him [the fee] for holding the clothes?" He said, "No, but I gave it to him for entering the bathhouse." Shurayh said to him, "Stand up, for you have nothing."
