Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:3268

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Sahl ibn Yusuf narrated to us, from Abu ‘Amr, from al-Hasan, regarding a man who has dirhams owed to him by another man, and he takes them while they contain *sam’iyyah* (counterfeit or debased coins). He said: There is no harm in it, even if it is silver, provided that it is weight for weight.
