Hadith 13:3380
Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ubayd ibn Ashal al-Ada'i narrated to us, from Mansur ibn Hayyan, from al-Sha'bi, who said: There was a weaver in whose house were people's yarns. His house burned down, and the people's yarns burned, except for three balls [of yarn] that remained. He went with them to Shurayh, and with him were two women. One of them said, "It is my yarn," and the other said, "No, by Allah, it is my yarn." He dismissed one of them and said [to the other], "Upon what did you wind your yarn?" She said, "Upon a walnut shell." He said to the other, "Upon what did you wind your yarn?" She said, "Upon a piece of bread." He then said, "O weaver, go and undo this yarn. If it is upon a walnut shell, then hand it over to this one, and if it is upon a piece of bread, then hand it over to this one."
