Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abu Khalid narrated to us, from Hajjaj, from Ibn Umayr, that a slave was permitted by his master to engage in tailoring, and a slave was permitted to engage in dyeing. He said: Shurayh held them both liable. He held the tailor liable for the price of the threads and the needles, and he held the other liable for the dye, the vats, and what resembles their work.
