Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Jarir, Hafs, and Abu Khalid narrated to us, from Abd al-Malik ibn Abi Sulayman, from Ata, from Ibn Abbas, he said: "Al-wala' (the right of patronage) is neither sold nor gifted."
