Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abbad ibn al-Awwam narrated to us, from Hisham, from al-Hasan and Muhammad, they both said: "Al-wala' (the bond of patronage) is a kinship like the kinship of lineage; it is neither sold nor gifted."
