Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Waki’ narrated to us, al-A’mash narrated to us, from Abu al-Haytham al-Qattan, who said: I hired a porter to carry something for me, and he broke it. I disputed with him before Shurayh, and he (Shurayh) held him liable for it and said: "He only hired you to deliver it, and he did not hire you to break it."
