Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:652

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Abd al-A’la narrated to us, from Hisham, from Muhammad, that he used to dislike that a man buys good food and bad food, then mixes them both together, then sells them. If that which is between them is close [in quality], then there is no harm.
