Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:701

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Abi Za’idah narrated to us, from Mujalid, from ‘Amir, who said: His repentance is that he stands in a position similar to his position [where he committed the act] and declares himself a liar.
