Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:75

Waki’ ibn al-Jarrah narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, from ‘Abdullah ibn Abi Za’idah, from Abu ‘Iyad, that ‘Ali used to dislike the pledge (al-rahn) and the wick (al-fatil) in a forward sale (al-salam).
