Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:76

Abu al-Ahwas narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Qays, who said: Ibn Umar was asked about a man who enters into a *salam* (forward sale) contract and takes collateral (for it). He disliked that and said: "That is the guaranteed *salaf* (loan), meaning the profit."
