Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Hushaym ibn Bashir narrated to us, from Abu Akramah, from al-Harith al-Ukli, regarding a man who married a woman for a house, and the person with the right of pre-emption (shafi') for the house demanded it. He said: He takes it for the dowry equivalent to that of the woman. He said: And Ibn Shubruma said: I do not hold that view, but the person with the right of pre-emption takes it for its market value.
