Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:885

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn ‘Ulayyah narrated to us, from al-Jurayri, from ‘Abdullah ibn Shaqiq al-Ansari, who said: The compensation (arsh) for a teacher is disliked, for the companions of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) used to dislike it and considered it a serious matter.
