Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:9

Muhammad ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from Ash'ath, from al-Hakam, from Shurayh, that he said: If a man enters into a transaction on credit, then he brings another man into it, the liability is upon the owner of the transaction, and there is nothing upon his partner, as long as it was not cash. If it was cash, then the loss is upon the owner of the cash, and the profit is according to what they have agreed upon.
