Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:914

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from ‘Uyaynah, from Ibrahim, that he was asked about a group of people upon whom a document (contract) is written: "May he take his entire right from whichever of them he wishes?" He said: "It is according to their condition; he may take his entire right from whichever of them he wishes." And Ibrahim used to prefer that he take from each person among them according to his share, for that is more just.
