Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:915

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Humayd ibn Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, from Zuhayr, from Jabir, regarding the ruling on a man who has a right [owed] to him by a group of people, [and] he says: "Whichever of them I wish, I will take my entire right from." He said: "This is in the position of a guarantor."
