Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 13:964

Abu Bakr narrated to us, he said: Jarir narrated to us, from Talq ibn Mu'awiyah, he said: I had a claim of three hundred dirhams against a man, so I disputed with him before Shurayh. The man said: "They promised me that they would treat me well." Shurayh said: "Indeed, Allah commands you to render trusts to whom they are due." He said: And he ordered his imprisonment, and I did not request him to imprison him until he settled with me for one hundred and fifty dirhams.
