Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 21:143

Ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from ‘Ata’ ibn al-Sa’ib, from his father, who said: ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) came to Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) and said: “I am complaining of my chest because of what I find from carrying the water skins.” She said: “And I, by Allah, am complaining of my hands because of what I grind with the hand mill.” He said to her: “Go to the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), for captives have come to him. Go to him, perhaps he will provide you with a servant.” So she went to the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), and he came to them and said: “You have come to me so that I may provide you with a servant, but I will inform you of what is better for you than a servant. If you wish, I will inform you of what is better for you than a servant: glorify Allah (say *SubhanAllah*) after every prayer thirty-three times, praise Him (say *Alhamdulillah*) thirty-three times, and magnify Him (say *Allahu Akbar*) thirty-four times. And when you go to your beds at night, that is one hundred.” ‘Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “I have not known myself to leave them since.” Ibn al-Kawwa’ said to him: “Not even on the night of Siffin?” ‘Ali said: “May Allah fight you, O people of Iraq! Not even on the night of Siffin.”
