Hadith 21:156
Husayn ibn Ali narrated to us, from Za’idah, from al-Hasan ibn Ubayd Allah, from Ibrahim ibn Suwayd, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid, from Abdullah, who said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) reached the evening, he would say: "We have reached the evening, and the dominion has reached the evening belonging to Allah, and praise is to Allah. There is no god but Allah alone, He has no partner. O Allah, I ask You for the good of this night and the good of what is in it, and I seek refuge in You from its evil and the evil of what is in it. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from laziness, old age, the evil of old age, the trial of the world, and the punishment of the grave." And al-Hasan ibn Ubayd Allah said: Zubayd added for me in it, from Ibrahim ibn Suwayd, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid, from Abdullah, in a marfu' (elevated) manner, that he said: "There is no god but Allah alone, He has no partner; to Him belongs the dominion, and to Him belongs the praise, and He is capable of all things."
