Hassan ibn Musa narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salama narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Sa'id ibn Hayyan, from Abu Zur'ah, from 'Amr ibn Jabir, from Abu Hurayrah, from Ka'b, who said: I find in the Torah: Whoever says when he enters the morning: "O Allah, I seek refuge in Your name and Your perfect words from the devil and his evil. O Allah, I seek refuge in Your name and Your perfect words from Your servants and the evil of Your servants. O Allah, I ask You by Your name and Your perfect words for the best of what is asked, and the best of what is given, and the best of what is revealed, and the best of what is hidden. O Allah, I seek refuge in You, and in Your name, and in Your perfect words from the evil of what the day manifests," the devils will not be able to harm him, nor will anything he dislikes. And if he says them when he enters the evening, it is the same, except that he says: "from the evil of what the night covers."
